Plagiarism Screening Policy

Originality Check and Similarity Evaluation of RUBINSTEIN

Manuscripts submitted to this journal will be checked to ensure originality and to prevent plagiarism. The screening is conducted using text similarity detection software, such as Turnitin and/or other supporting software, before the manuscript proceeds to the next stage of the editorial process.

Originality of Manuscript
Original and Unpublished Work

The journal only accepts original manuscripts for publication, namely articles that have not been previously published and are not currently being submitted for publication in another journal. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the submitted manuscript is an original scholarly work and free from plagiarism.

Plagiarism Screening Process
Use of Similarity Detection Software

The journal uses text similarity detection software to identify plagiarism, duplication, or the use of text without proper citation. Manuscripts proven to contain plagiarism or text taken without acknowledging the original source may be rejected by the editorial board before publication.

Similarity Threshold
Similarity Below 25%

If the manuscript similarity level is below 25%, the manuscript may be returned to the authors for rechecking, citation correction, paraphrasing, or content adjustment according to editorial instructions.

Similarity Above 25%

If the manuscript similarity level exceeds 25%, the manuscript may be rejected without proceeding to the editorial review process. Authors are advised to revise the manuscript thoroughly and ensure that all quotations, references, and use of text comply with academic standards.

Editorial Assessment
Editorial Review of Plagiarism Cases

The editorial board analyzes every case of plagiarism identified. If plagiarism or the use of text without adequate citation is detected by the editor or reviewer at any stage before publication, the authors will be warned to rewrite the relevant sections or provide proper references to the original sources.

The similarity percentage is calculated using plagiarism detection software and is also reconsidered by the editorial board. The final decision is not based solely on the percentage score but also on the context of similarity, citation quality, and the authors’ compliance with scholarly publication ethics.

Note: This policy aims to maintain academic integrity, prevent plagiarism, and ensure that every article published by RUBINSTEIN meets the standards of originality and scholarly publication ethics.
