Abstract

Inventory management is an important aspect in running effective and efficient printing service operations. Many small to medium-scale printing businesses still use manual recording or non-integrated systems, which potentially cause recording errors, delayed information, and difficulties in monitoring raw material availability. This research aims to analyze and design a web-based inventory information system that can assist the process of managing raw material stock in printing services in real-time and in an integrated manner. The methodology used in this research includes stages of system requirements analysis, interface and database design, as well as system testing using the User Acceptance Test (UAT) method to evaluate the extent to which the developed system can be accepted by users. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and literature studies, while system design was carried out using an Object-Oriented approach with Unified Modeling Language (UML). The result of this research is a web-based inventory information system prototype capable of recording, monitoring, and reporting raw material stock data systematically and accurately. Based on the UAT test results from users, the designed system demonstrates a high level of acceptance in terms of ease of use, speed of information access, and improvement in work efficiency. With this system, it is expected that the inventory management process in printing services can be carried out more optimally and support appropriate decision-making.
